Shout out to Producer Will Packer and partner Rob Hardy on another one that will be a Box Office Success. The very well publicized film, THINK LIKE A MAN opens tonight at midnight. The picture is directed by talented director Tim Story ( Barber Shop, Fantastic 4, Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer ) and stars Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Jenkins, Romany Malco, Gabrielle Union, La La Anthony, Chris Brown, Sherri Shepherd and Wendy Williams.
Based on Steve Harvey’s best-selling book, Think Like a Man follows four interconnected and diverse men whose love lives are shaken up after the ladies they are pursuing buy Harvey’s book and start taking his advice to heart. When the band of brothers realize they have been betrayed by one of their own, they conspire using the book’s insider information to turn the tables and teach the women a lesson of their own.
Zac Efron’s, “The Lucky One” and Disney Nature’s “Chimpanzee” also open this weekend and will be playing in about 1200 more screens than TLAM but I am positive TLAM will be a huge success and still may even come in at No.1.

Total Recall, the famous 1990 American science fiction action film, is back in headlines. Its been remade and the official trailer has been released. Fans have been searching for the trailer online in a large number, making it one of the most searched items on Google.”Total Recall” originally starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rachel Ticotin, Sharon Stone, Michael Ironside and Ronny Cox. The movie did quite well on the box office and was one of the biggest hits of its time.
The film is based on the famous Philip K. Dick’s story “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale”. The original movie was directed by Paul Verhoeven and written by Ronald Shusett, Dan O’Bannon, Jon Povill, and Gary Goldman. Owing to spectacular special affects, “Total Recall” won a Special Achievement Academy Award for its visual effects. The remake, as you can see from the trailer once again upholds its reputation for being action packed and CGI/SFX heavy.
The plot of “Total Recall” revolves around an unsophisticated construction worker, Doug Quaid (Schwarzenegger previously), who is either a victim of a failed memory implant procedure or a freedom fighter from Mars relocated to Earth. Quaid visits Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. Although Quaid (Colin Farrell), has a beautiful wife (Kate Beckinsale) who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life – real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police – controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston), the leader of the free world – Quaid teams up with a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) to find the head of the underground resistance (Bill Nighy) and stop Cohaagen. The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate.”
Total Recall hits theaters 8.3.12. I hope it’s good. It has BIG shoes to fill.

Your favorite anchorman, Ron Burgundy will be coming back! Last night Judd Apatow tweeted “Anchorman 2 is on!”, so I looked into it and it is official, Anchorman 2 will be made. Will Ferrel mentioned on Conan O’Brien that Paramount has green-lit the project. Adam McKay will once again direct the project and he and Ferrell will be writing the script. Judd will once again produce the film under his production company and McKay and Ferrell will work under Gary Sanchez productions. If you didn’t see the original, definitely check it out. Hillarious! It was released in 2004 and went on to gross $80 million at the domestic box office.
“Stay classy San Diego”.

Starz knows how to pick them. I do not watch much TV but they had me hooked with “SPARTACUS” and now their new show “MAGIC CITY” is looking amazing. Great cast and plot. The show premieres April 6th.
Miami Beach, 1959. As Ike Evans rings in the New Year at his luxurious Miramar Playa Hotel, Havana falls to Castro’s rebels. It’s a turbulent time in Miami, but it’s THE place to be. The Kennedys, the mob and the CIA all hold court here. And Ike, he’s the star of his hotel. But everything comes at a price.
To finance his dream, he sold his soul to mob boss Ben “The Butcher” Diamond. Ike’s wife Vera, a former showgirl, and his three kids think he’s an honorable man, but he can’t break his pact with the devil. His life is a façade. In fact, nothing at the Miramar Playa is what it seems. By day, it’s diving clowns and cha-cha lessons. By night, escorts have secret liaisons with husbands in the family cabanas, while Miami’s seedier residents and the law drift together to hear legendary singers, musicians and comics. As Ike’s world threatens to implode, he fights for his family, and the Miramar Playa, in Magic City. [www.starz.com/originals/MagicCity]
